Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make your own movie?  You've probably got ideas swirling around in your head. Maybe you have a story you want to tell. Maybe you want to make your voice heard.  The Sconniewood Young Filmmakers Festival in Green Bay is your chance!  This is a film fest that's just for you. We know there are creative geniuses out there who are waiting to make their mark on the world.  Why wait? Students can do amazing things now. You don't need permission!  You can use your phone, tablet, a digital camera or whatever equipment you can find.  Ask parents, teachers and others who can help to give you a little guidance. But don't forget…this is your project.  Write your story. Cast your actors. Grab a camera and start creating!

What Kind of Films Can You Make?

The Sconniewood Film Festival features short films with a running time maximum of 10 minutes.  You can make any kind of movie you want: comedies, documentaries, animations, music videos, super hero stories, etc. But there are some guidelines that you should follow.  Your film should not contain profanity, nudity or distasteful violence. Submissions found to be insensitive in regards to race, gender or cultural stereotypes will not be accepted.  We want you to be creative. But we also want the subject matter of your movie to be positive.
